Con emozione e incredulità nel 2012 il Grand Prix Marco Biassoni ha festeggiato un traguardo importante, il diciottesimo compleanno. La manifestazione è cresciuta di livello e partecipazione, diventando un punto di riferimento per la comunità umoristica italiana e internazionale.
Uno dei pochi festival di umorismo che resiste negli anni. Dovendo scegliere un tema per un compleanno così importante il confronto è stato acceso. Si voleva un argomento che fosse ricollegabile alla città di Gallarate e proprio per questo la scelta è ricaduta su “Il Teatro”. Dopo 6 anni di concorso internazionale con temi che hanno spazito dalla scuola alle stelle una nuova sfida per gli umoriti.
La nostra città ha, infatti, vissuto uno sviluppo culturalmente molto rilevante con la presenza di 4 sale, ognuna connotata da un diverso target e da stagioni complementari fra loro. Il teatro è rappresentazione della realtà, commedia o tragedia, interpretazione di quello che accade intorno a noi e anche l’humour graphic è un’interpretazione della realtà, sarcastica, comica, sempre veritiera.
Ormai radicato nel DNA culturale della nostra città il Grand Prix Marco Biassoni è un evento che porta alla ribalta un settore considerato di nicchia, dando spazio a chi con pochi e semplici tratti riesce a comunicare più di mille parole.

With excitement and disbelief in 2012 the Grand Prix Marco Biassoni celebrated a milestone, the eighteenth birthday . The event has grown in level and numbers of participants, becoming a reference point for the Italian and International cartoonists community.
One of the few festivals of humor that endures over the years. Having to choose a theme for a birthday so important the debate has been passionate. We wanted a topic that was immediatly connectable to the town of Gallarate and for this reason the choice fell on “The Theatre “. After 6 years of international competition with themes that ranged from school to the stars for a new challenge for cartoonists.
Our city has seen a development culturally very relevant with the presence of four theaters, each characterized by a different target and seasons complementary between them. The theater is a representation of reality, comedy or tragedy, interpretation of what is happening around us and also the graphic humor is an interpretation of reality, sarcastic , funny, always truthful.
Entrenched in the cultural DNA of our city ‘s Grand Prix Marco Biassoni is an event that turns spotlight on an area considered niche, giving space to those with just a few simple strokes can communicate better than thousand words.

Il 2011 per Humour a Gallarate è stato un anno intenso ed emozionante. Al momento di scegliere un tema per la XVII edizione la luce si è accesa su un argomento di attualità e spesso al centro di dibattiti: l’acqua.
Non solo; dopo un’attenta riflessione la Pro Loco ha scelto come argomento il simbolo chimico dell’acqua, ovvero H2O. L’acqua come elemento primordiale, fonte di vita, simbolo di sacro e profano, ma l’acqua ancora oggi un problema per molti paesi del mondo, dove anche un solo bicchiere d’acqua è un miraggio e dove moltissimi bambini, uomini e donne muoiono ogni giorno per la sua mancanza.
Lo sguardo internazionale ci ha permesso di scoprire nuove realtà, di confrontare l’umorismo e le sue rappresentazioni in tutto il mondo, con la consueta consapevolezza che l’humour grafico è ormai una forma di comunicazione con una dignità propria, dove gli artisti si esprimono con perizia, abilità e sarcasmo.

2011 for Humor in Gallarate has been a busy and exciting year. When ready for choosing the topic for the seventeenth edition, the light went off on a topical and often at the center of debates: water.
Not only that, after careful consideration, the Pro Loco has chosen as its argument the chemical symbol of water, or H20. Water as a primordial element, the source of life, symbol of sacred and profane, but the water is still a problem for many countries of the world, where even a single glass of water is a mirage and where many children, men and women die every day from lack thereof.
The international outlook has allowed us to discover new realities, to compare the humor and its representations in the world, with the usual knowledge that the graphic humor has become a form of communication with a dignity of its own, where artists express themselves with skill, ability and sarcasm.

Il Grand Prix Marco Biassoni ha un pregio, quello di essere riuscito a coniugare in pochi anni umorismo e satira, portando sotto i riflettori anche di una cittadina piccola come Gallarate, l’humour graphic, una forma di comunicazione divenuta centrale sugli organi di stampa ma anche un vero e proprio linguaggio autonomo.
Per la prima volta ospitata al Maga, Museo Arte Gallarate, la rassegna umoristica ha scelto di onorare la sua città e la sua prestigiosa nuova istituzione con un tema ad hoc “L’arte moderna”.
La collaborazione con un centro culturale di primo piano ha inoltre sancito la nascita di un nuovo riconoscimento, il Premio Cava vinto da Gianni Chiostri. Grand Prix ad un volto noto della manifestazione gallaratese, Marilena Nardi.
The Grand Prix Marco Biassoni has a value, to have combined in a few years sense of humour and satire, ponting out even in a little city such as Gallarate, the humour graphic, a main form of comunication on the press organisations but also an out and out independet code.
Set up for the first time at Maga, Museum of Arts Gallarate, the umoristic festival chosed to honor its city and its eminent new institution with a specific topic “Modern art“.
The collaboration with such a leading cultural center ratified the launch of a new award, Cava Award won by Gianni Chiostri. Grand Prix to a familiar face for the contest in Gallarate, Marilena Nardi.

Nell’anno internazionale dedicato all’astronomia anche Humour a Gallarate non poteva esimersi dal festeggiare le stelle e le costellazioni, con un’edizione interamente dedicata a loro. Dopo scuola, numeri e fuoco un argomento sognante e romantico…
“Le stelle” era, infatti, il tema dell’edizione del 2009, la quindicesima, un traguardo che ha portato l’humour se possibile ancora più fuori dai confini nazionali. Conosciuto ormai in tutto il mondo il Grand Prix Marco Biassoni si distingue ormai come rassegna per professionisti con una suddivisione delle opere in tre categorie: grafica, satira e caricature.

“Stars” was the topic for 2009 edition, the 15th, a goal that enlarged boundaries of Humour to the world. Well known all around the world the Grand prix Marco Biassoni is recognized as a professional festival with a distincion in three categories: cartoon, satire and caricatures.

“Il fuoco” ha infiammato l’edizione del 2008, un tema al centro di mille discussioni al momento della scelta. Dopo Scuola e Numeri un argomento forte e appassionante, difficile da descrivere a parole…
Passione per qualcuno o qualcosa, energia che crea e distrugge, tecnica, calore, un soggetto possibile di mille diverse interpretazioni. Così tante, infatti, sono state le rappresentazioni del fuoco che sono entrate in concorso e hanno acceso una mostra e un catalogo spettacolari. Grand Prix al messicano Angel Boligan Corbo.

Passion for someone o something, energy that creates and destroys, tecnique, warm, a topic with a thousand of different interpretations. So many, infacts, have been the representations of fire that were evalueted in the contest and that lighted up an exhibition and a catalogue simply terrific. Quando a poco meno di sei mesi dalla chiusura della rassegna del 2006, dedicata alla Scuola, in sede Pro Loco si cominciò a pensare alla nuova edizione, gli animi dei soci sono stati presi da mille domande.
Quale poteva essere il tema migliore per la seconda edizione internazionale? Dopo il successo delle tavole sul tema “La Scuola” cosa poteva permettere alla manifestazione di restare a livelli così alti?
Dopo una lunga e attenta riflessione, alla fine la scelta è ricaduta su “I numeri”, un argomento così particolare, capace di spaziare dalla letteratura alla matematica, passando per la fisica, la massoneria o i codici.
Questo e molto altro nelle tavole che hanno colorato l’edizione del 2007, vinta da Alessandro Gatto.
When a little less than six months after closing the exhibition of 2006, dedicated to the School, Pro Loco associates began to think about the new edition, the minds of the members were taken from a thousand of questions.
What could be the best theme for the second international edition? After the success of the boards on “The School” what could enable the event to remain at such high levels?
After a long and careful thought, in the end the choice was “Numbers“, a topic so special, capable of ranging from literature to mathematics, through physical, masonry or codes.

Nel 2006, per la prima edizione internazionale la rassegna Humour a Gallarate ha scelto come tema la scuola. Un argomento interessante e sempre molto attuale che ha permesso ai molti partecipanti di confrontarsi con un mondo vario e dalle mille sfaccettature. Per la prima volta, quindi, nel 2006, Gallarate è stata letteralmente invasa dalle opere di autori provenienti da ogni parte del mondo.
La scuola declinata nelle bellissime tavole che hanno partecipato al concorso è un ricordo ancora così limpido, come il ricordo dell’autore che vinse proprio quella edizione del Grand Prix Marco Biassoni, l’ucraino Yuriy Kosobukin, affezionatissimo protagonista della nostra manifestazione, fine umorista e abilissimo illustratore, scomparso lo scorso anno.
L’edizione numero XIX che sarà in mostra dal 1 dicembre 2013 al 6 gennaio 2014 gli renderà omaggio con una personale.
In 2006, for the first international edition the festival Humor in Gallarate chosed as its theme the school. An interesting topic and always current that allowed many participants to confront with a various world and multi-faceted. For the first time, then, in 2006, Gallarate was literally invaded by the works of authors from all over the world.
The school declined in beautiful works that participated in the contest is a memory still so clear, like the memory of the author who just won that edition of the Grand Prix Marco Biassoni, the Ukrainian Yuriy Kosobukin, affectionate protagonist of our event, smart humorist and skilled illustrator, who died last year.
The nineteenth edition that will be set up from December 1, 2013 to January 6, 2014, will pay tribute with a personal exhibition.

Nata quasi per scherzo nel 1995, col passare degli anni la rassegna Humour a Gallarate ha assunto sempre più importanza nel panorama satirico nazionale. È dal 2006 che la manifestazione però assume contorni internazionali, con le prime partecipazioni di professionisti di ogni parte del mondo.
Mentre nei primi dieci anni di vita la rassegna ha avuto un connotato più sperimentale con la partecipazione di numerosissimi umoristi e vignettisti anche alle prime armi, con il tempo il livello si è alzato sempre di più, rendendo il Grand Prix Marco Biassoni un appuntamento che ogni umorista al mondo non può fare a meno di segnare in rosso sull’agenda.

Started almost as a joke in 1995, over the years Humur a Gallarate has become increasingly important in the national panorama of satire. It’ been since 2006 that the festival has crossed national borders, with the former participations of cartoonist coming from everywhere in the world.
While in the first ten years of life the exhibition had sperimental characteristics due to the participations of so many amateur cartonists and humorists, over the years the level has risen, making the Grand Prix Marco Biassoni an appointment that each cartoonist in the world can not do without stressing on his agenda.
